Solid timber tops add warmth to a room, they wear well and can be re-sanded to remove the wear and tear marks if required. This is our quick guide to the different styles and options in Strand timber tabletops.
Stringy Bark
Banquette seating is an excellent choice when creating a more intimate environment for your customers. They can also add character and provide more comfort to your seating solution than regular chairs would. Banquette seating is also useful at maximising seating capacity and can be used to tastefully divide a space.
Messmate
Messmate timber tops have an attractive variation in colour and dark grain that provides character.
Bamboo
Bamboo is a beautiful sustainable table option. It comes in three classic colour options and has custom sizing available. It is also suitable for both indoor and outdoor application.
European Oak
European Oak is both sustainable and durable. This versatile range has multiple colour and design options making it a winner for choice, style and price.
Thickness
Our most popular thickness is the 32mm. Timber tops usually come in the following thicknesses options; however other thicknesses can be supplied as custom. In our experience, the 32mm top in perfect for Hospitality application.
Tabletop Heights
Always consider the total height of a table, keeping in mind that you are combining the dimensions of the base and the thickness of the top. For example, if you require a typical dining height of 750mm high, you can select a base with a height of 720mm to allow for your 30-32mm timber top thickness. Achieving the 750mm height combined.
Max Tabletop Size
We all love big beautiful statement tables but be mindful when deigning your space to keep practicality in mind. If you decide on a 3800mm long table for example you need to think about how it is transported, and the additional cost and manpower involved in all aspects of making larger pieces. For these reasons, larger tabletops are usually manufactured in two sections, which can be joined on site given the appearance of one top.
